Abstract :
The need to high-energy materials with low sensitivity for used in composite solid propellants it has been expanded the use of high-energy polymers and plasticizers with explosives as binders in polymer. Explosive materials with a common polymeric binder include are inert binder systems and have limited functionality. Various methods have been used to improve the efficiency of systems containing inert polymers. The most important of these is the use of polymers and plasticizers, which add up to the amount of energy the composite. This method is effective in making explosives efficient and advanced solid propellants. One of the problems of polymer-polymer and polymer- plasticizer composites is the possibility of immiscibility, which in turn reduces the Performance of the blends and the properties of the produced fuels. Therefore, the investigation and Characterization of miscibility polymer blends is an important issue. This has led to that this Investigation evaluate to study and use of difference methods, including: Visometric, thermal, electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, ultrasonic, Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra (NMR), Infrared spectra (IR) and mechanical tests and etc. , for Characterization and investigation of the compatibility of polymer blends.
